- ACCESS Further Bolsters End-to-End Solutions for Telecommunications Carriers
TOKYO, Japan – September 14, 2006 — ACCESS CO., LTD. (TSE:4813) today announced additions to its line of server products for telecommunication carriers. By combining its client and server offerings into one end-to-end solution, ACCESS now delivers dramatic time-to-market and cost savings advantages for providers of new mobile services.
The new end-to-end solution is designed to enable telecommunications carriers to seamlessly integrate ACCESS’ market leading client products for mobile phones and devices with its new server software.
“Providing solutions that meet our customers’ needs is a key focus for ACCESS,” said Toru Arakawa, CEO and co-founder of ACCESS. “This new end-to-end solution combines our proven expertise on the client side with our innovative server offerings to provide our customers with an offering designed to help them implement new services in a timely manner.”
The development of ACCESS’ end-to-end solutions will be done primarily by the teams at ACCESS Media Solutions, Co., Ltd., and RedZero Technology Co., Ltd., both located in Beijing, China. Both ACCESS Media Solutions and RedZero are part of the ACCESS group of companies.
RedZero Technology, established in 2004, developed “NetFront™ Sync Server”, which is compatible with the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) specification Sync ML 1.2. The Company also developed “NetFront Live Portal Server”, which optimizes RSS (RDF Site Summary/Rich Site Summary) format transmission format for mobile phones.
ACCESS Media Solutions, Co. Ltd., established earlier this year, has developed “NetFront AudioLoad”, a total music transmission solution for mobile terminals, and “NetFront Media Streaming Server”, a client/server solution for podcast transmission to mobile phones.
“ACCESS aims to offer further total solutions by augmenting its lineup of server components that anticipate the needs of telecommunications carriers,” Arakawa added.
