ACCESS NetFront™ Browser Powers Huawei WCDMA Handsets for Global Operators

Beijing, China, – September 16, 2009 – ACCESS China Inc., a subsidiary of ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile and beyond-PC markets, today announced that ACCESS NetFront^™ Browser v3.5 has been selected by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. for its WCDMA handsets targeted at global markets. Huawei Technologies, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions worldwide, first deployed ACCESS’ NetFront Browser for its overseas operator-customized 2G CDMA products in 2004. With the extension of NetFront Browser v3.5 to Huawei’s WCDMA global handsets, ACCESS’ NetFront^™ series browser will now be deployed on Huawei’s complete range of WCDMA handsets.

In addition to the deployment of NetFront Browser on Huawei’s WCDMA handsets, the two companies plan to develop a TD-SCDMA solution integrated with ACCESS’ advanced browser technology to support the China 3G market.

NetFront Browser v3.5 is designed for Web 2.0 services and provides users with faster speed and enhanced features and capabilities. NetFront Browser v3.5 has already been successfully deployed on numerous handsets shipping into global markets, Softbank Mobile’s AQUOS SHOT (Model name: 933SH), a high-performance digital camera handset with 10 megapixel CCD manufactured by Sharp, and WILLCOM’s WILLCOM NS (Model name: WS026T) manufactured by Toshiba and designed specifically for Web browsing.
