ACCESS Provides NetFront™ Browser v3.5, NetFront™ Widgets for Toshiba TG01

First Use of NetFront^™ Widgets Player in NTT DOCOMO Mobile Handset

Tokyo, Japan, – June 16, 2009 – ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile and beyond-PC markets, today announced that NetFront^™ Browser v3.5 and NetFront^™ Widgets will feature in the new TG01, a slim, high-performance, multimedia handset from Toshiba Corporation. The TG01 is developed by Toshiba for both Japanese and global markets. NTT DOCOMO, Inc. plans to release the handset in Japan as model number docomo PRO series^™ T-01A on June 20.

NetFront Browser v3.5 is the latest version of NetFront^™ Browser for mobile handsets and Internet-enabled devices, while NetFront Widgets is a comprehensive widget solution for mobile and beyond-PC markets. Users of the TG01 will benefit from NetFront Browser v3.5’s superior user-friendliness and browsing capabilities and NetFront Widgets’ smooth graphic interface and diverse features.

ACCESS began providing a widget service for DOCOMO’s Windows Mobile^® handsets in November 2008. This announcement marks the first time the NetFront Widgets player has been deployed in a DOCOMO handset. Five widgets have been pre-installed in docomo PRO series T-01A, allowing users to take immediate advantage of search, weather and calendar functions, among others.

The TG01 has a slim body—an approximately 9.9 mm thick—and features an approximately 4.1-inch wide VGA high-resolution touch-screen. The handset delivers advanced performance through Qualcomm’s 1 GHz Snapdragon chipset and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.1.

ACCESS and Toshiba have worked together previously to develop new handsets. NetFront Browser v3.5 was integrated into the WS026T (offered by WILLCOM, Inc. as the WILLCOM NS), a Toshiba handset designed specifically for Web browsing.
