ACCESS NetFront™ Browser Empowers Yulong CoolPAD

  • ACCESS China enters partnership with Yulong Telecommunication
  • NetFrontBrowser v3.5 adopted by Yulong Telecommunication to customize its 3G handsets

Beijing,China, – September 1, 2009 – ACCESS China Inc., a subsidiary of ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile and beyond-PC markets, announced today that it has signed an agreement with China’s top 3G handset manufacturer, Yulong Telecommunication (Yulong) to provide its NetFront Browser v3.5 for Chinese operators’ customized 3G handset production.

According to the agreement, Yulong is adopting NetFront Browser v3.5 for its CoolPAD TD-SCDMA and CDMA2000®–EVDO handsets, allowing users to experience the advantages of NetFront Browser v3.5 and the benefits that cutting edge NetFront technology brings to enhanced Internet browsing. Yulong’s CoolPAD is the top domestic brand of handsets in China’s 3G market, representing approximately 18% market share.※1

NetFront Browser v3.5 is the latest version of the most advanced mobile Internet browser developed by ACCESS. NetFront Browser is one of the most widely-deployed mobile browsers for manufacturers and operators worldwide. NetFront products, including NetFront Browser have been deployed in over 760 million devices throughout the world (as of the end of April 2009).

This announcement marks the first cooperation between ACCESS and Yulong, as well as the first deployment of NetFront Browser v3.5 in TD-SCDMA handsets for China’s locally developed 3G communications standards. Yulong’s CoolPAD F69, the first TD-SCMA handset integrated with NetFront Browser v3.5, began shipping in China in July. Yulong’s upcoming deployment of NetFront Browser v3.5 for its CoolPAD CDMA2000®-EVDO handsets will further extend NetFront Browser’s deployment in 3G handsets in China.
