ACCESS’ NetFront™ DTV Profile HTML Edition SDK Adds New Optional Feature

Now Compatible for Plala’s Broadband Video Distribution Service, 4th MEDIA

TOKYO, Japan – April 6, 2006 — ACCESS.CO., LTD. (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, today announced the availability of NetFront DTV Profile HTML Edition SDK for 4th MEDIA※1. The 4th MEDIA is the broadband Video Distribution Service provided by Plala Networks Inc. The NetFront DTV Profile HTML Edition SDK is a software development kit for HTML browser for digital television and set-top box.

NetFront DTV Profile HTML Edition SDK is a software development solution that facilitates porting and customization of ACCESS’ HTML browser, which is compatible with a broad range of specifications for digital television and set-top box, including Net TV 2.0 and UOPF※2 12. Having all modules required for porting within a package, it allows customers to port, to customize and to test NetFront browser easily. ACCESS has been developing and providing NetFront DTV Profile as a total browser solution for data broadcast use. It is compatible with BS, CS and terrestrial TV broadcasting standards formulated by the Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB).

The 4th MEDIA, which the NetFront DTV Profile HTML Edition SDK is available as an option, is a broadband Video Distribution Service offering Video on Demand and multi-channel television services, provided by Plala Networks Inc. Designed to help speed time-to-market, NetFront DTV Profile HTML Edition SDK is the only standard package product compatible with the 4th MEDIA.
