NTT DoCoMo Deploys ACCESS’ NetFront™ DTV Profile Wireless Edition In One Seg Compatible FOMA™ O901iTV Handset

Handset Delivers Digital TV Broadcasts with a Single Click Via i-mode

TOKYO, Japan – November 14, 2005 – ACCESS Co., Ltd., (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, today announced that its NetFrontDTV Profile Wireless Edition browser will be deployed in a future launch of NTT DoCoMo’s FOMA P901iTV mobile handset compatible with One Seg, Japan’s wireless mobile terrestrial digital TV broadcast service.

NetFront DTV Profile supports BML (Broadcast Markup Language) a markup language developed for data broadcast use and which is compatible with BS, CS and terrestrial TV broadcasting developed by the Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB). As of 2005, NetFront DTV Profile Wireless Edition has established a track record of deployments in more than one million digital TVs and other devices representing ten different brands. Today’s announcement marks the first time the technology has been deployed in a One Seg-based handset offered by DoCoMo.

A key feature of the NetFront DTV Profile Wireless Edition is its interoperability with other handset applications. In addition, with ACCESS’ Media:, solution, users can switch to digital broadcasts from phone mode or from e-mail. By leveraging its success in browsers for Digital TV and mobile devices, ACCESS has been able to realize the convergence of TV broadcast and communications technology on handsets.

In addition, ACCESS provides NetFront BML Viewer Wireless Edition, the industry’s first PC-based preview and test environment for mobile BML content development. With NetFront BML Viewer Wireless Edition, content developers will be able to accelerate the development of mobile BML-based content and services.

“By providing a digital broadcasting solution for One Seg services, ACCESS will be able to deliver a totally new mobile experience to users,” said Toru Arakawa, president and CEO of ACCESS. “Moving forward, ACCESS will support digital broadcasting services via mobile devices as part of our vision to realize the ubiquitous Internet society.”
