China’s Amoi Selects ACCESS’ NF 3 Browser to Power its Next-Generation M60 Handset

Selection Signals Continued Success of ACCESS’ NF Browser Technology Among Chinese Handset Manufacturers

TOKYO, Japan – June 7, 2005 – ACCESS Co., Ltd., (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, announced that Amoi Mobile Co., Ltd., a leading mobile handset manufacturer in China, has selected its NF 3 browser to power Amoi’s M60 GPRS handset, which was recently launched in China by China Mobile. The deployment of the M60 with the NF 3 browser marks another successful collaboration between ACCESS and Chinese handset vendors, and it’s also a milestone for Chinese handset vendors as they move towards 2.5G and beyond.

With its comprehensive feature-set, the NF 3 browser delivers a rich mobile Internet browsing experience to M60 end-users over GPRS networks while complementing the advanced technologies supported by the handset which include a digital camera, high-resolution color screen, and support for MMS. With dual protocol stacks supporting WAP 1.x and WAP 2.0, NF 3 enables convenient access to legacy WAP 1.x as well as WAP 2.0 content with an easy switch through the phone menu.

ACCESS’NF 3 browser is recognized as one of the most advanced and popular mobile browsers in the world with over 164.9 million deployments in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. It was the first mobile browser to be deployed for a commercial 3G service and it continues to be a leading choice for mobile operators deploying next-generation mobile services throughout the world. It is a proven solution with a comprehensive feature-set that supports full Internet mobile browsing.

“2.5G and 3G have always been an area of significant focus and heavy investment for Amoi. We are going to expand our market share in China, as well as enter the global market. ACCESS’ NF 3 browser is one of the most advanced embedded browsers. Utilizing ACCESS’ proven technology in embedded browsers combined with our core competency in application development, we are confident that our GPRS handsets will provide our consumers with a rich Internet browsing experience,” said Mr. Wu, Junhua, vice general manager, Amoi Mobile Co., Ltd. “ Amoi will launch another NF 3 enabled mobile handset with rich multimedia functionality shortly, to further drive the usability and diversity of handsets available in the Chinese market.

“Amoi is one of the most successful domestic handset vendors and its handsets are among the most fashionable. We’re pleased to team with Amoi and to provide our NF browser solution for Amoi’s next-generation M60 handset. ACCESS is looking forward to leveraging its extensive experience in providing and enabling mobile Internet technologies for leading mobile operators worldwide and assisting Chinese handset vendors to penetrate the global mobile market,“ said Pierre Suhandinata, president and CEO of ACCESS China.

NF browser provides a comprehensive feature set that supports the latest Internet standards like OMA Browsing 2.0, WML, HTML 4.01, and cHTML as well as unique technologies that make mobile Internet browsing highly responsive and intuitive. Key among these technologies are Smart-Fit Rendering, a technology that intelligently renders full Web pages to fit the screen width of mobile devices, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling, and Rapid-Render, a progressive rendering technology that significantly accelerates the presentation of Web page data. NF browser also provides mobile professionals with unique business productivity features, like integrated support for Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files via Adobe® Reader LE software, a first for mobile browsers.
