ACCESS i-mode Software Deployments Continue Rapid Worldwide Expansion

NetFronti-mode Global Profile Selected as Key Software Solution by i–mode Alliance Operators Throughout the World

Cannes, France – 3GSM World Congress – February 15, 2005 – ACCESS (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, announced that its NetFront® i-mode Global Profile integrated software solution continues to see rapid expansion worldwide and is already deployed by many i-mode Global alliance operators including KPN (Netherlands), e-PLUS (Germany), BASE (Belgium), Bouygues Telecom (France), Telefoníca (Spain), WIND (Italy), COSMOTE (Greece), FarEasTone (Taiwan), and Telstra (Australia).

NetFront i-mode Global Profile is the leading client-side software solution available in the i-mode Global market and is featured in the following i-mode Global handsets: the N223i, N331i, N341i, N400i, N410i, and N630i from NEC; the m341i, m342i and m430i,from Mitsubishi; the TS222i, from Toshiba; the P341i, and P342i from Panasonic; the S341i from Samsung; and the TSM30 from Vitelcom. As of today, there are over 4 million i-mode Global handsets deployed with NetFront i-mode Global Profile software worldwide.

NetFront i-mode Global Profile integrates ACCESS Internet software technologies originally developed for NTT DoCoMo’s i-mode service into a comprehensive solution that offers operators and their handset partners seamless i-mode Global deployments while reducing overall cost and time-to-market. All technologies comprising NetFront i-mode Global Profile were developed by ACCESS with NTT DoCoMo, ensuring seamless interoperability optimized specifically for the i-mode Global service.
