Deployment in New 901i Series of 3G FOMA Handsets Confirms ACCESS’ Technology Leadership Position Among Independent Mobile Software Vendors Worldwide

The deployed applications include ACCESS’ popular NetFront^™ browser, mail application, IrFront^™ (IrDA-compliant infrared communication protocol stack), AVE^™-TCP^™ (TCP/IP protocol stack), and AVE^™-File (file system), as well as NetFront browser-based support for DoCoMo’s Deco-mail^®, the world’s first HTML-capable mobile mail client.

ACCESS’ NetFront browser is widely recognized as among the most advanced Internet browsers in the world, with over 139 million deployments worldwide, including deployments in the most innovative mobile devices currently available. DoCoMo’s 901i series 3G FOMA handsets support advanced new features many of which are firsts for mobile handsets including, 3D sound that provides highly realistic audio support for ring-tones, games, and other applications, a G-Guide that supports advanced downloading of TV program listings, as well as support for Deco-mail, an HTML-capable mobile mail client. Some 901i handsets will also support FeliCa smart-card technology to support advanced functions like mobile commerce.
