palmOne Selects ACCESS NetFront™ Browser Engine to Power New Blazer 4.0 Mobile Browser, Expand Collaboration

Companies Expand Browser Technology Collaboration to Include Additional palmOne Products Including Recently Announced Tungsten^™ T5 Handheld

(Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, today announced that palmOne, Inc. has selected ACCESS’ NetFront Browser Engine^™ to power palmOne’s new Blazer^® 4.0 mobile browser. palmOne and ACCESS also are expanding their existing relationship to include browser technology collaboration on selected future palmOne^™ devices. The first palmOne product to include the new Blazer 4.0 browser is the recently announced Tungsten^™ T5, with additional devices to follow.

Blazer 4.0 provides palmOne users with improved performance enabled by NetFront browser technologies including Rapid-Render^™ a technology that progressively renders Web page content, significantly accelerating the presentation, discovery and interaction opportunities for end-users. Blazer 4.0 provides extensive support for Web standards including HTML 4.01, xHTML 1.0, cHTML, WML 1.3, SSL 3.0, HTTP 1.1, JavaScript 1.5, CSS 1.0 and 2.0 (partial), GIF, animated GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, and Cookies. Blazer 4.0 also supports landscape mode viewing an additional advantage for mobile handheld users.
