ACCESS Demonstrates Universal Multiscreen Solutions Supporting New DLNA CVP-2 Guidelines at Cable Show

Support for the DLNA CVP-2 guidelines, CDN integration and multiscreen media sharing for both home-network and cloud-based video delivery provide a future vision for multiscreen

Oberhausen, Germany, − April 23, 2014 − ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile, beyond-PC and digital TV markets, today announced that it will showcase a number of solutions enabling operators to launch secured multiscreen services providing access to content both in and out of the home at the CableNET booth at the Cable Show (Los Angeles Convention Center, April 29 – May 1).

ACCESS’ solutions have been shipped in over 1 billion devices, demonstrating true embedded expertise encompassing TV and set-tops as well as smartphones, tablets and other DLNA compatible devices. By utilizing ACCESS’ solutions, operators can launch multiscreen experiences on every CE device utilizing native apps for popular platforms and the latest cross-platform technologies such as HTML5. To support the operators’ need for solutions that combine security and interoperability, ACCESS has added support for the new DLNA CVP-2 guidelines in addition to support for third-party CA and DRM security solutions, providing the content industry with the confidence to allow the delivery and sharing of secure premium content including PayTV, VoD and live channels.

“Taking part in the Cable Show allows us to demonstrate how our solutions adapt to every operator’s requirements whether in terms of user experience or security,” said Dr. Neale Foster, COO, ACCESS Europe and VP Global Sales TV, ACCESS. “The U.S. market is particularly receptive to developments in security and interoperability as the number of unmanaged devices used to watch content keeps increasing drastically.
