ACCESS Media Sharing and TV-Centric Browser Integrated with Zenterio OS

The integration of ACCESS’ NetFront™ Living Connect DLNA Technology Component™ with Zenterio OS combined with the integration of NetFront™ Browser NX provides Zenterio’s operator customers with ACCESS-powered TV-centric HTML5 browsing and media sharing

London, − March 12th, 2014 − ACCESS CO., LTD (TV Connect stand 93), a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile, beyond-PC and digital TV markets, and Zenterio, the provider of the independent operating system platform for interactive TV, today announced they will demonstrate ACCESS powered media sharing at TV Connect (18-20 March), Olympia, London. NetFront™ Browser NX is also integrated with Zenterio OS, as announced at IBC 2013.

“The ACCESS and Zenterio collaboration provides TV operators with an A to Z of advanced TV services,” said Dr. Neale Foster, VP Global Sales TV, ACCESS. “The integration of ACCESS HTML5 browsing and DLNA media sharing strengthens Zenterio OS and is designed to help Zenterio build on its impressively accelerating market traction.”

“TV Connect sees us announce the integration with ACCESS’ NetFront Living Connect media sharing solution, building on the earlier integration of the NetFront Browser NX,” said Samuel Lindstedt, CEO, Zenterio. “We chose to integrate ACCESS’ media sharing and browser with Zenterio OS because ACCESS has a great tradition of embedded software, great market penetration and its products have high functionality.”

ACCESS (93) is to host demos of NetFront Browser NX TV-centric HTML5 browser and NetFront Living Connect DLNA Technology Component.

Zenterio (91) will demonstrate how its independent operating system is now integrated with NetFront Living Connect to provide DLNA-based media sharing.

NetFront Living Connect: a multiscreen solution that provides the content and CE industries with the simplest and most powerful route to enable consumers to watch, listen, and share movies, music and TV programs inside and outside the home. The solution is a DLNA Technology Component supporting the latest CVP-2 security guidelines specifications and integrated with leading security solutions. The demonstrations of NetFront Living Connect integrated with Zenterio OS shows how operators can build business models based-on distributing paid and free content to STBs, TVs, tablets, mobile phones and in-car entertainment and navigation systems.

NetFront Browser NX: the demonstration on the ACCESS stand of Zenterio OS running the ACCESS browser shows industry leading HTML5 performance, low memory requirements and an advanced RDK.

Zenterio OS is an operating system that enables TV operators to make independent hardware, middleware and back-end solution choices. Zenterio ensures that operators are free to focus on service development as an independent business driver rather than staying locked in by current ecosystem limitations. The system features an extensive framework architecture, which enables fast adaptations to market needs and introductions of new ‘must have’ features; including multiscreen, music services, interactive advertising, interactive TV and social interactivity.
