- ACCESS Launch of NetFront™ Living Connect 3.0 Makes Seamless Media Sharing Ready For Primetime
Oberhausen, Germany, – March 15, 2012 – ACCESS CO., LTD, a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile, beyond-PC and digital TV markets, today announced that it will launch the latest version of its DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) Technology Component™ solution, NetFront™ Living Connect 3.0, at IP&TV World Forum 2012 (March 20, 2012). NetFront Living Connect 3.0 is a next-generation solution which enables device manufacturers to quickly and efficiently implement services that support DLNA standards on Consumer Electronic (CE) devices including digital TVs, set-top boxes and mobile phones. The new features in NetFront Living Connect 3.0 include support for DLNA Premium Video, increased cloud integration and Remote User Interface integration.
NetFront Living Connect 3.0 offers support for DLNA Premium Video profile, enabling the secure sharing of high-quality, premium commercial video. With DLNA Premium Video, service providers can offer consumers the ability to stream their favorite television programs and movies to DLNA Certified® products such as digital televisions, tablets, mobile phones, Blu-ray disc players and video game consoles.
At IP&TV World Forum ACCESS will also be demonstrating its HTML5 NetFront™ Browser NX integrated with NetFront Living Connect 3.0 to provide DLNA functionality such as RUI (remote user interface), enabling web applications access to network home services. This increase in NetFront Living Connect functionality continues ACCESS’ commitment to providing solutions which adhere to the latest DLNA Guidelines and that enable the media and CE device industries to provide consumers with exciting new services and opportunities.
As well as enabling access to premium content, NetFront Living Connect 3.0 also allows service providers to deliver cloud based content to the home network. With pre-developed plug-ins NetFront™ Living Connect consumers can enjoy content from their favorite online storage and web content on their own DLNA devices. This deeper integration with the Cloud means that NetFront™ Living Connect now offers consumers and service providers the option of accessing and sharing media content both locally and externally.
