ACCESS, Yendis Publishing House Announce Latest Implementation of Enterprise Digital Publishing Platform

Rota das Bandeiras launches digital training based on ACCESS™ Digital Publishing Ecosystem

Frankfurt, Germany, – October 10, 2012 – ACCESS CO., LTD, a global provider of advanced software solutions to the mobile, beyond-PC and digital TV markets, today announced that Rota das Bandeiras, an administrator for a Brazilian traffic corridor, will launch this month a digital content solution developed through the joint venture between ACCESS and Yendis Publishing House. Under the Yendis-ACCESS partnership which was announced in March, Yendis, a leading publisher in Brazil of technical, scientific health-related books, leverages the ACCESS Digital Publishing Ecosystem to power their digital content management and delivery solution, which gives organizations a custom platform to deliver training materials to end users on a wide range of PC, mobile and tablet devices.

Rota das Bandeiras, an Obebrecht Group company, will deliver digital content for the “Rota da Educacặo” program, an awareness and training program designed to train 1,300 teachers in 17 counties within Brazil about the new Dom Pedro I highway. With the digital platform, school teachers will have direct access to the program’s teacher during video classes and have digital access to all educational materials (books, posters, presentations and videos) to allow the teachers to educate the 40,000 students within the municipalities served by the new highway.

“Digital books are a reality not only in the U.S., but are also gaining ground in Brazil. The digital platform is an important service channel for both enterprises and consumers,” said Maxwell Medeiros Fernandes, president of Yendis Publishing House. “Although more timidly, Brazilian publishers have bet on the digital market and this Rota das Bandeiras program is a strong example of how Brazilian publishers are adopting digital publishing.”

ACCESS Digital Publishing Ecosystem, the platform developed by ACCESS, allows publishers and organizations of all kinds to create personalized cloud-based content management and delivery systems for reaching end users on PC, mobile and tablet devices. Released last year, ACCESS Digital Publishing Ecosystem has been adopted by many major publishers in Japan and other countries such as Korea, the United States, and Brazil.

“Digital content has moved beyond the consumer eBook market, creating new opportunities for companies to engage with their user base directly,” said Ivan Dwyer, Head of Digital Publishing, ACCESS Systems Americas. “Organizations, whether in medical, education, training, government, or transportation can now easily manage and distribute relevant digital content to tablets and smartphones in a secure and efficient manner.”
