ACCESS to Participate in 3GSM World Congress 2007

  • ACCESS exhibit will feature demonstrations showcasing how to “Unleash Your Digital Life”
  • Demonstrations include ACCESS Linux Platform, NetFrontBrowser, NetFront Mobile Client Suite

SUNNYVALE, Calif., – January 25, 2007 – ACCESS CO., LTD., today announced it is participating in this year’s 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, February 12 – 15, 2007. ACCESS’ theme for this year’s 3GSM World Congress is “Unleash Your Digital Life.”

In keeping with its theme for the 2007 3GSM World Congress, ACCESS will showcase a number of its products and technologies that enable device manufacturers, operators and application software companies to develop, distribute and enhance a wide variety of mobile phones and converged devices.

Located in CY06 in the Courtyard area of the Fira de Barcelona, ACCESS’ two-story booth will feature a wide variety of product demonstrations including the ACCESS Linux Platform, NetFront Browser, and NetFront Mobile Client Suite.

“The 3GSM World Congress is always one of the year’s most important events in the mobile phone industry,” said Tomihisa Kamada, ACCESS co-founder and CTO. “As the industry and consumers move more and more to using converged devices, this show provides us an excellent opportunity to connect with leaders from global mobile operators, device manufacturers and vendor communities while highlighting how our product portfolio and technologies help enable the development of mobile phones and converged devices.”

Along with introducing solutions for mobile phones and converged devices, in the spirit of this year’s theme, “Unleash Your Digital Life,” ACCESS will spotlight the NetFront IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) Client Package delivering IMS services based on Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) – specified standards and the NetFront Media Player featuring audio-video and control functionality.

ACCESS Linux Platform

ACCESS NetFront IMS Client Package and NetFront Media Player*
As one of the industry’s first IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) solution for businesses, the ACCESS NetFront IMS Client Package provides leading edge IMS solutions that tightly integrate Internet viewing and messaging environments with audio and visual media.

The ACCESS NetFront IMS Client Package also includes a wide variety of modules that support FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) services that integrate the mobile world with the PC Internet world as well as the CE (Consumer Electronics) world.

The NetFront Media Player is a multi-function media player that supports 3GPP streaming, Windows® Media Streaming, Windows Media DRM, and OMA DRM. A wide variety of software audio/video codecs can be integrated with NetFront Media Player and the IMS Client Package.

The ACCESS booth will be located in the Courtyard of the Fira de Barcelona in CY06. The 3GSM World Congress 2007 will be held Monday, February 12 – Thursday, February 15 at the Fira de Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain.
