ACCESS Releases Upgraded Version of NetFront™ Browser for Nokia Series 60 Smartphone Platform

Latest Version of Leading Mobile Browser Features Faster Downloads and New Rendering Options

The software is available for purchase from Nokia’s Software Market (www.softwaremarket.nokia.com) and Handango (www.handango.com).

NetFront v3.1 for Series 60 is the latest version of the most widely deployed and actively used embedded browser in the world. In addition to the already impressive feature set, the new version of the acclaimed NetFront for Series 60 browser offers major improvements in performance and usability:

  • faster download transfer rates
  • new download mechanism to enable large file download
  • new rendering mode – small-image mode – for fast downloading & rendering of large websites
  • new image rendering feature – select any picture & zoom it up to screen size!

NetFront v3.1 for Series 60 smartphones also continues to provide advanced features such as Smart-Fit Rendering, a sophisticated technology that intelligently renders Web pages to fit handset screen widths, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling, and Rapid-Render, a technology that significantly speeds the rendering of Web pages on mobile devices.
