ACCESS showcases a service concept demonstration system designed for in-vehicle environments at the NHK Science & Technology Research Laboratories booth during EdgeTech+ 2024, which will be held from November 20 (Wed) to 22 (Fri), 2024. The theme of this year’s event is “AI / Generative AI Accelerates Business Transformation and Industry DX.”

This demonstration, developed in collaboration with Alps Alpine Co., Ltd., integrates web, broadcasting, and AI technologies to envision the future of in-vehicle spaces in the era of autonomous driving. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience this innovative concept at the exhibition.

Exhibit Overview

• Theme:
  A Broadcast Program Recommendation System Tailored to In-Vehicle User Contexts
  Towards a Smart Society Where Content Meets Every Life Scenario
• Key Solutions:
  A demonstration using Alps Alpine’s in-vehicle prototype device featuring AI-driven dialogues between agents to provide video content and dining recommendations based on user contexts.
  • Co-Pilot AI:
    Acting as an AI-powered digital assistant, the co-pilot enhances the in-vehicle experience by working as a virtual companion. It interprets conversation content and car navigation information, collaborating with multiple service AIs to deliver personalized suggestions.
  • Service AI:
    The program recommendation AI, developed by the NHK Science & Technology Research Laboratories, and the restaurant information AI, created by ACCESS, work in tandem with the co-pilot to recommend programs and nearby dining options during travel.
