ACCESS and INNOPIA makes Video Everywhere Ready for Primetime at CES

Leveraging ACCESS NetFront™ HTML5 Browser and Media sharing solutions, the INNOPIA demos enable operators to offer seamless and secure multiscreen using DLNA® VidiPath™ technology up to 4K over competitively priced Linux HDMI stick

Oberhausen, Germany, − December 17, 2015 − ACCESS CO., LTD, a global provider of advanced software technologies to the automotive, mobile, Internet of Things (IoT) and digital TV markets, and INNOPIA Technologies, Inc., a smart media platform development company based in Korea specializing in solutions for the convergence of broadcast, networks and mobile applications for the ICT platforms of the future, today announced that they will host joint demonstrations on INNOPIA CES stand #81524.

Demonstration highlights include ACCESS browser and media sharing solutions powering Innopia HDMI sticks, providing consumers with exciting video streaming and multiscreen experiences; as well as ACCESS NetFront™ Browser BE running on a wireless pico smart beam projector, a world first from Innopia. These demonstrations show how operators can harness the power of standards-based technologies to offer a secure experience across multiple video-capable platforms without compromising on picture quality or security.

“INNOPIA Technologies has developed hardware to enable consumers to access high quality video on demand, wherever they are and whatever the screen. By embedding our software solutions, Innopia ensures that its customers can securely offer YouTube for TV, OTT services and multiscreen services, regardless of device or network,” said Dr Neale Foster, COO and VP Global Sales, ACCESS Europe. “Today, consumers expect their primary video supplier to offer them both online and multiscreen services. By adding ACCESS solutions, we enable operators to meet the consumer demand of accessing any content on any device, while using open standards such as DLNA® VidiPath™ to meet the content industry’s security requirements.”

Based on ACCESS’ NetFront™ Browser family and the DLNA® media sharing Technology Component™ NetFront™ Living Connect, the Innopia and ACCESS demonstrations at CES include:
  • NetFront Browser NX running on INNOPIA’s Linux’ based HDMI stick, a cost-effective solution for operators looking to offer access to multiscreen content everywhere
  • 4K/UHD capable video decoding
  • DLNA® VidiPath™ support on an HDMI stick to enable secure video streaming services
  • The world’s first wireless pico smart beam projector relying on NetFront™ Browser BE running as a Remote User Interface client

“ACCESS’ efforts in designing and improving consumers’ experiences ensures that there is real synergy between their software solutions and our product portfolio,” said Manho Jang, CEO, INNOPIA Technologies. “CES is the perfect springboard to showcase the latest innovation and we are confident that our Linux HDMI Dongle and wireless pico smart beam projector, an industry first, will enable operators to build new multiscreen and TV Everywhere services to excite and delight consumers.”
