Pantech Selects ACCESS’ NetFront™ Living Connect for new Waterproof Android Powered LTE Element Tablet

Oberhausen, Germany, − April 10, 2012 − ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile, beyond-PC and digital TV markets, today announced that Pantech Co., Ltd., one of Korea’s largest mobile phone manufacturers, has selected ACCESS’ NetFront Living Connect solution for use in its new Android powered Element tablet. The tablet is LTE enabled, and was launched in the US market through AT&T.

The Pantech Element was unveiled at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and is the first LTE tablet from Pantech. The 8-inch tablet uses the NetFront Living Connect pre-ported Android Software Development Kit to enable content discovery and the playback of audio, video and pictures. The tablet runs on the Android Honeycomb OS, features a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and is one of the very first waterproof tablets on the market.

NetFront Living Connect is a market-leading DLNA Technology Component solution. It enables quick and efficient media sharing, playback and control services that support DLNA standards on devices such as mobile phones, digital cameras, printers, DVD players, DTVs, set-top boxes, network-attached storage (NAS) boxes and other consumer electronics devices.

The Pantech Element was released in the U.S. market on the 22nd of January through the U.S. carrier AT&T.
