- ACCESS China Provides NetFront™ Browser v3.5 for SMiT Mobile Internet Devices
Beijing, China, – November 24, 2009 – ACCESS China Inc., a subsidiary of ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile and beyond-PC markets, today announced that ACCESS NetFront™ Browser v3.5 has been selected by Shenzhen-based State Micro Technology Co., Ltd. (SMiT) for its Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) based on the Windows® CE operating system. SMiT is a high-tech company specialized in digital TV and mobile multi-media solutions that owns proprietary intellectual property rights and core technologies and acts as a representative for a number of Chinese ODMs. This is the first partnership between ACCESS China and SMiT and further extends NetFront Browser’s deployment in MIDs designed and customized for the China market.
The first deployment of NetFront Browser v3.5 on a SMiT commercial MID is for a popular eBook designed and produced by SMiT. Thanks to NetFront Browser’s enhanced capabilities, SMiT eBook users can enjoy faster Internet browsing

NetFront Browser v3.5 is designed for Web 2.0 services and provides users with faster speed and enhanced features and capabilities. NetFront Browser v3.5 has already been successfully deployed on millions of mobile devices shipping into global markets, including mobile phones, digital TVs, set-top boxes and car navigation devices. NetFront™ series deployments surpassed 800 million worldwide at the end of July 2009.
