MOBOPIA and ACCESS Announce Partnership to Power Long Tail Mobile Content

Companies combine market-leading technologies to deliver rich content to mobile phones

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, – July 8, 2008 – Mobopia Corporation, the creators of Xuinet, the industry’s first Open Mobile Publishing Network and ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile and beyond-PC markets, today announced their strategic partnership to create an integrated, open and flexible Widget solution for delivering a wide variety of rich and engaging content to mobile phones, worldwide. The partnership will combine Mobopia’s Xoe rich-media Widget client with ACCESS’ NetFront Browser, delivering a completely integrated, open and flexible Widget platform tailored specifically for mobile devices, available in Q3 of this year.

Today, there are nearly two million Flash developers worldwide with the potential to create and publish rich content for mobile phones. This includes most major media companies, creative agencies, advertisers and individuals. Although several methods for mobile publishing exist, they are tied to specific platforms or geographies thus impeding the vast majority of Flash developers from easily delivering their creations to market.

With this in mind, Mobopia has created Xuinet, to simplify the creation, monetization and delivery of rich media content and advertising. The combination of Mobopia’s Xoe client integrated with ACCESS’ NetFront Browser has created a new, intuitive user experience that enhances discovery of content on mobile phones.

“As a pioneer in advanced software solutions for mobile and Internet-enabled devices, it is important for us to establish strong, strategic partnerships to ensure we are at the cutting edge of technology,” says Tomy Kamada, CTO, executive vice president and co-founder of ACCESS. “We are excited to be partnering with Mobopia to deliver the ultimate mobile Internet user experience and look forward to working with the company to help extend the growing market momentum of Widgets on mobile platforms.”

Mobopia is an active member of the ACCESS Connect Ecosystem (ACE) Global Partner Program, a network of world-class partners who are furthering the potential of the digital life generation by driving development and adoption of new mobile converged technologies and solutions.
“By extending our partnership with ACCESS we will benefit from the extensive global distribution and reach of a world-class market leader,” states Ray Taylor, CEO and President, Mobopia. “By combining our industry-leading technology platforms, we are able to offer long tail content through a complete end-to-end ecosystem for Flash developers, making it easier to get on device, and ultimately, make money in mobile.”
