ACCESS NetFront™ Browser Runs on Analog Devices’ Blackfin Processor

ADI Added as Newest ACCESS Connect Ecosystem (ACE) Partner

Tokyo, Japan, – May 14, 2008 – ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile and beyond-PC markets, today announced that its NetFront Browser is available on Analog Devices’ (ADI) Blackfin® Processor. Specifically designed and optimized to deliver high performance in resource-constrained environments, NetFront Browser supports almost any OS and offers low power consumption, easy customization and a broad range of plug-ins.

NetFront Browser is the most advanced, versatile, and powerful Internet browser available in the mobile market and has been deployed in over 500 million Internet devices throughout the world including mobile phones, digital TVs, set-top boxes, mobile handhelds, game consoles and automobile telematics systems, among others.

“Technology today is moving towards providing consumers with a full Internet browsing experience on all of their connected devices, whether these are mobile–such as handheld devices–or stationary, like set-top boxes, Internet-enabled TVs or other media entertainment devices,” said Toru Arakawa, president, CEO and co-founder of ACCESS. “NetFront Browser embedded on ADI’s Blackfin is the ideal solution for OEMs who want to make it possible for their customers to access and interact with content-rich multimedia Internet sites.”

ADI’s Blackfin is ideally suited for products where a convergence of capabilities is necessary–multi-format audio, video, voice and image processing; multi-mode baseband and packet processing; control processing; and real-time security. Blackfin’s unique combination of software flexibility and scalability has gained it widespread adoption in convergent applications such as digital home entertainment, networked and streaming media, automotive telematics and infotainment, and digital radio and mobile TV.

“By making the NetFront Browser available on Blackfin, ADI is able to provide customers with a powerful mobile browsing experience,” said Mike Haidar, product line director, General Purpose DSP, Analog Devices, Inc.

ACCESS has also added Analog Devices, Inc. as the newest member of its ACCESS Connect Ecosystem (ACE) Global Partner Program. The ACE partner program is designed to create a network of world-class partners that will develop the potential of the digital life generation by driving development and adoption of new mobile converged technologies and solutions.
