Sanyo Deploys ACCESS’ Total Client Solution for Mobile Phones in FOMA™ SA700iS Handset from NTT DoCoMo

Handset Delivers NetFront® Mobile Client Suite Browser, Email, and JavaTM Based on the FOMA Profile

TOKYO, Japan – September 29, 2005 – ACCESS Co., Ltd., (Tokyo Stock Exchange:4813), a global provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, today announced that Sanyo has adopted components of ACCESS’ NetFront Mobile Client Suite (NMCS) for its FOMA SA700iS handset from NTT DoCoMo. The components adopted for the handset include the NetFront Browser, NetFront Messaging Client, and JV-Lite2 Wireless Edition based on the FOMA profile.

NetFront Mobile Client Suite is a highly integrated, flexible, modular and extensible solution that dramatically reduces development time and costs, allowing manufacturers to rapidly introduce advanced new mobile devices to markets throughout the world.

The browser, which was adopted for BREW platform of FOMA SA700iS was developed jointly by ACCESS and NTT DoCoMo based on NetFront v3.2. The browser has been already adopted by NEC, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Sharp, Mitsubishi, and Sanyo adopted it as FOMA SA700iS. In addition to common e-mail applications, the NetFront Messaging Client has been used in Deco-mail, a unique feature in the FOMA series. Moreover, since ACCESS’s JV-Lite2 Wireless Edition is compatible with the latest version of NTT DoCoMo’s DoJa4.0 LE, which is designed to enable resource and memory sharing between applications, developers can deliver a highly reliable Java execution environment.

“We are pleased that Sanyo has adopted NMCS for its first FOMA handset,” said Toru Arakawa, president and CEO of ACCESS. “We plan to take full advantage of our experience and track record as the browser of choice for numerous NTT DoCoMo handsets and deliver a wide variety of high performance, total mobility solutions to i-mode users worldwide.”
