1. Policy on Personal Information Protection

1.1 ACCESS Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “ACCESS”) obtains and uses your information, including your name, address, email address, age, gender, interests, and preferences, to smoothly conduct our business operations. ACCESS recognizes that the proper protection of these information (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information”) is our important responsibility, and ACCESS will handle your Personal Information in accordance with the policy shown below to fulfill this responsibility.

  1. ACCESS will properly handle Personal Information in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and regulations, as well as practices of handling Personal Information generally accepted as fair and appropriate. ACCESS will also endeavor to improve our handling of Personal Information as necessary.
  2. ACCESS will clarify our rules on handling of Personal Information and ensure that all our employees understand and follow them. ACCESS will also ask our business partners and customers to handle Personal Information properly.
  3. When obtaining Personal Information, ACCESS will notify the person of or make public the purposes of use and handle Personal Information only for such purposes of use.
  4. ACCESS will take necessary measures to properly control Personal Information in order to prevent leakage, loss, falsification, and other similar incidents of Personal Information. ACCESS will not improperly use Personal Information.
  5. ACCESS will accept your requests for disclosure, correction, deletion, or discontinuation of use of your Personal Information held by us in accordance with the procedures specified by us. ACCESS will deal with the matter faithfully.

1.2 Under the policy described in Article 1.1, ACCESS will handle your Personal Information in accordance with the following rules.

2. Purposes of Use

2.1 ACCESS will obtain your Personal Information necessary for our business operations. ACCESS will use your Personal Information only for the following purposes and not improperly use your Personal Information. ACCESS will use your Personal Information obtained in connection with your hiring only for our hiring-related processes (such as screening, contacting, and other procedures).

  1. To improve the quality or convenience of our products and services shown on this website or the website for our products and services (hereinafter referred to as the “Product Website”)
  2. To ship or provide to you products or services ordered by you
  3. To provide information about, promote, or introduce our products and services
  4. To conduct a survey of our products and services
  5. To answer your inquiry about our products and services
  6. To conduct other business operations related to any of the above purposes

2.2 ACCESS may outsource part of our business operations to contractors to conduct our business smoothly and provide the contractors with your Personal Information to the necessary extent. In this case, ACCESS will conclude an agreement on handling of Personal Information with the contractors and properly supervise their handling of your Personal Information in an effort to protect your Personal Information.

3. Disclosure and Provision to Third Parties

ACCESS will not disclose or provide your Personal Information to any third party, except for ACCESS’s provision of your Personal Information to the contractors under Article 2 and in any of the following cases:

  1. ACCESS has been given your consent
  2. ACCESS discloses or provides your Personal Information in the form of statistical data or any other form whereby you cannot be identified
  3. ACCESS is required by law to disclose or provide your Personal Information
  4. ACCESS needs to disclose or provide your Personal Information to protect the life, body, or property of a person, but has difficulty obtaining your consent
  5. ACCESS needs to cooperate with the central government or a local government in performing public functions and obtaining your consent may impede such performance of public functions.

4. Implementation of Security Control Measures

ACCESS will control your Personal Information held by us by taking necessary and proper measures to prevent leakage, loss, damage,. and other similar incidents of your Personal Information. ACCESS will also properly supervise our employees’ handling of your Personal Information held by us and, if ACCESS outsources the handling of your Personal Information to any contractor, ACCESS will supervise the contractor in accordance with Article 2.2 to ensure the proper control of your Personal Information by the contractor.

5. Disclosure

If ACCESS receives a request for disclosure of your Personal Information held by us, ACCESS will respond to such request to a reasonable extent within a reasonable period after confirming that the requesting person is a duly authorized person (referring to you, your statutory agent if you are a minor or adult ward, or your privately appointed agent; hereinafter referred to as “Authorized Person”).

6. Corrections and Deletions

If ACCESS receives a request for corrections or additions to or deletion of your Personal Information held by us, ACCESS will make the corrections or additions to or delete your Personal Information to a reasonable extent within a reasonable period as long as your Personal Information contains incorrect information after confirming that the requesting person is an Authorized Person.

7. Discontinuation of Use and Erasure

7.1 If ACCESS receives a request for discontinuation of use or erasure of your Personal Information held by us, ACCESS will discontinue using or erase your Personal Information to a reasonable extent within a reasonable period after confirming that the requesting person is an Authorized Person.

7.2 Please note that ACCESS may not be able to provide you with services requested by you if ACCESS discontinues using or erase the whole or part of your Personal Information as requested under Article 7.1 (please note that we may not meet your request for discontinuation of use or erasure of your Personal Information held by us under relevant laws and regulations).

8. Acceptance Methods to Requests for Disclosure, etc.

1. Acceptance procedures

You can request disclosure or other processing of your Personal Information by sending a mail to the address shown below or using the online inquiry form.
You will be informed of the details of the acceptance procedures when you make a request. ACCESS will reply in writing or by other means after confirming that the requesting person is an Authorized Person by the method described in Article 8.2 below. Please note that you may be asked to submit our prescribed request forms, depending on what you request.

2. Confirmation of Authorized Person

  1. If you make a request on your own
    If you make a request on your own, ACCESS will confirm your identify by checking your identification, such as your driving license, passport, health insurance card, or certificate of seal impression, calling back to your telephone number registered with ACCESS, checking your information registered with ACCESS, such as your name, address, telephone number, PIN, transfer account number, and credit card number, or other means.
  2. Confirmation of Identity of your agent
    If your agent makes a request on behalf of you, ACCESS will confirm that the agent is an Authorized Person by checking the power of attorney and the certificate of seal impression for the seal affixed to the power of attorney, calling you, or other means.
