AVE-File™ (File System)
Overview
AVE-File is a file system that enables storage of data programs on portable information machines, household electrical appliances, and OA appliances. The file system is complaint with the Windows standards for FAT12/16/32, VFAT, and DOS partitioning and enables data exchange of computers and other devices. As a standard feature, AVE-File supports SD memory cards as well as Compact Flash. With the optional AVE-File Flash Memory Driver (AFMD), it can support NORtype internal flash memory. AVE-File achieves compact data program storage suitable for largescale data exchange and portable systems.

AVE-File SDK Development Kit
The AVE-File SDK is a porting package that offers full source code and includes a PC-based application development environment, a wide range of sample drivers, a test program and documentation. Guaranteed operation using the Hitachi SH-3 Solution Engine (MS7709ASE01) under the More v4.0 and Windows NT 4.0/2000 environments facilitates porting to different platforms and devices. Development work can be started before the hardware is available because applications developed on a PC using VC++ can easily be recompiled to run on the target platform.

Use of the OS provided ( More v4.0, HI7700) is only allowed for running the AVE-File SDK program on the evaluation board. Development or mass-production licenses for the OS itself require separate licensing agreements with ACCESS or the manufacturer concerned.
