The Linux Phone Standards Forum (LiPS) is a consortium founded by a group of telephony operators, device manufacturers, silicon and software vendors who have a strategic focus on Linux® telephony. The mission of the Linux Phone Standards Forum (LiPS) is to accelerate the adoption of Linux® in fixed, mobile and converged telephony devices by standardizing Linux®-based services and APIs that directly influence the development, deployment and interoperability of applications and end user services.
